Qianshan Scenic Area

Qianshan Scenic Area is located in the southeastern part of Anshan City, Liaoning Province, China. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction that combines natural beauty with cultural and historical sites. Qianshan is renowned for its 'majestic peaks, steep rocks, unique pines, and secluded caves,' earning it the nickname 'Pearl of Northeast China.' The area not only boasts rich natural landscapes but also has a deep religious and cultural heritage, particularly with numerous Buddhist and Taoist temples scattered throughout the mountains. The main attractions include:

• Wuliang Temple: A cluster of buildings from the Liao and Jin dynasties, known as the foremost Taoist temple in Northeast China. It consists of five courtyards, with Tiancheng Temple being the most famous.
• Wufoding: The highest peak of Qianshan, standing at an altitude of 530.7 meters. It is named after the pagoda on the summit that houses the Five Buddhas, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
• Longquan Temple: Founded during the Tang Dynasty, it is the leading Zen temple among the four major Zen temples of Qianshan. It features many ancient structures such as the Great Hero Hall and the Heavenly Kings Hall.
• Nanquan Temple: Also known as Puan Temple, it is another important Buddhist temple in Qianshan, known for its serene environment and solemn Buddha statues.
• Xianren Terrace: The largest scenic area in Qianshan, characterized by peculiar rock formations, waterfalls, and streams.
• Jiabianshi: A unique feature of Qianshan, this narrow passage is formed by two massive rocks pressed together, allowing only one person to pass through sideways.
• Surrounding Cuisine: Tasting local specialties such as Anshan-style barbecue and mountain vegetable dishes is also an essential part of visiting Qianshan.
