🚋 Anshan Tramway Site

The Anshan Tramway system was established in 1926, one of the earlier urban rail transit systems in Northeast China, primarily constructed under the Japanese colonial period's "Manchuria Railway" (South Manchuria Railway Company). The line was approximately 7.8 kilometers long, connecting Anshan Station with the Qianshan Scenic Area, and served as a vital means of transportation for Anshan residents, witnessing the transformation of modern urban transportation and the development of industrial civilization.

🏛️ Architectural Remains and Cultural Value

The existing site includes part of the original tramway terminal station, with the main structure retaining typical Japanese-style modern architectural features. Constructed with red bricks, wooden trusses, and sloping roofs, the remains still show the meticulous craftsmanship of the past. The platform foundation, track sleepers, and signal light poles are still in place, providing valuable physical materials for studying the history of transportation and colonial architecture in Northeast China.

⚠️ This site was listed as a Cultural Relic Protection Unit of Anshan City in 2013 and is classified as an immovable cultural relic at the city level.
