This campaign is one of the most representative defensive battles in the Shandong region during the War of Resistance Against Japan. In the face of the formidable enemy and the weak forces, the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army relied on the rugged terrain and fiercely resisted the attacks of the Japanese and puppet troops in the Wangyang Tai area.
