The Langfang Victory Memorial Hall was established based on the Langfang Ambush Campaign of 1900 during the invasion of China by the Eight-Nation Alliance, serving as a significant historical testament to China’s modern resistance against foreign aggression. During this battle, Qing commander Nie Shicheng led his troops in heroic defense against the allied forces of Britain, France, Russia, Germany, and others in the Langfang region. Although ultimately defeated due to overwhelming enemy strength, the Chinese forces inflicted heavy casualties on the invaders, greatly boosting national morale and earning the battle recognition as one of the pivotal engagements within the Boxer Rebellion.
